We have a family custom of working in horticulture and landscaping. My father began working as a landscape gardening professional in 1959, and I have worked in the same field from 1976. My father was one of the first to use butyl lining, which was introduced in the 1960s. I am still preserving ponds which were originally constructed by my father today.
Most still have the butyl lining from the original pond construction intact.
My father successfully constructed over 70% of Surrey's playing fields, and also served as a local authority landscaper. He carried out sports and athletic ground installations while also taking on tree and shrub planting contracts. My brother also worked in the horticultural field as a landscaper at Kew Gardens, and also running an exclusive orchid nursery.
I began my career in landscaping when my father retired in 1985 and have worked diligently for several large landscaping companies as a subcontractor. I've been honoured with awards while working with them, all for delivering exceptional landscape gardening work.
My own company, DR Bradbury, has installed lakes and ponds for Anthony Archer-Wills over a four-year period before he left for America. Since 1983, we have helped The National Trust by maintaining ponds, carrying out pond construction work and moving statuary.
At present, our landscaping company proudly maintains the Southern Region Headquarters at Polesden Lacey and Ham House in Richmond.
Some of our earlier clients have been famous rock stars and politicians. We have taken part in nearby horticultural exhibitions and flower shows over the years. Our work is offered to clients in Guildford, Woking, Camberley, Godalming and the surrounding areas at affordable prices. This helps to ensure 100% client satisfaction whenever we provide services for them.
